Chula Vista (CNS)-Police said on Saturday that a report by a citizen led to the arrest of three suspected burglaries at a residence in Chula Vista.

According to Lieutenant Dan Pick of the Chula Vista Police Department, on Friday, the citizen reported seeing a suspicious vehicle, a maroon Infinity sedan, parked in a residence in the 1500 block of Annonali Avenue before.

Pick said: “The citizen believed that several subjects had broken into the house and directed the police officer to where they were.” “When the police arrived at the scene, they detained three subjects who tried to escape the house.”

The lieutenant said that officials identified the suspect to match the description of a robbery that occurred earlier this week. He said that a teenager was robbed of a backpack while walking near Aotai Ranch High School on Wednesday.

Pique said: “This teenage victim was followed by several subjects in a maroon Infinity sedan.”

Soon after, the suspect approached him from the car and asked him to take his backpack. The victim handed his backpack to the suspect. He was not injured.

Peak said that in the residence, the homeowner lost approximately $60,000 of property, including televisions, clothes, jewelry and other miscellaneous items. The property is still missing, and investigators are still working to restore it.

“The suspect is believed to have taken the items from the residence earlier and returned to steal more property after being found by the police,” he said.

During the investigation, the police determined that the suspect allegedly robbed the teenager’s backpack and was able to return the stolen property to the victim.

The 18-year-old suspects Lavell Moore and Deaveon Bates were imprisoned in the San Diego County Jail on suspicion of burglary and robbery. Emma Mcelroy, 18, was detained in the Las Colinas Detention Center on suspicion of burglary.

The Chula Vista Police Property Crime Department is investigating these incidents.
