San Diego-On Saturday, a burning vehicle triggered a fast-moving bush fire on a highway in a rural East County, forcing some residents to evacuate.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fire started at 11:20 am when a half-tank truck caught fire on Interstate Highway I-8, west of Interstate 79, and the flames spread to the side of the highway.
