The UAE Media Office reported that a container ship anchored in a huge port in Dubai caught fire on Wednesday night, causing an explosion and shaking the commercial centers of the entire United Arab Emirates.

The Dubai official media office tweeted that according to reports, a fire broke out on a ship and a group of firefighters were trying to control the fire. Witnesses reported that buildings throughout the city were shaking.

Officials said no casualties were reported immediately. The extent of damage to the port and surrounding cargo caused by the explosion is unclear.

People in Dubai recorded with their mobile phones on high-rise buildings and posted crazy videos on social media showing a fireball lighting up the night sky.
