Bangsal, California – A 77-year-old North County man Who was reported missing late last week The officer of the sheriff said he was found dead on a property in Bonsall.

The department said in a tweet that Gary Sokol’s body was found on Monday. Sokol was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. It was reported that he disappeared at around 6.30pm on Friday. The last time he was seen by his neighbors was on Thursday night.

The department said: “We are grateful to community members, the search and rescue team, the San Diego Mountain Rescue team, and senior volunteers for their help in this search.”

The department said on Friday that representatives said Sokol was receiving hospice care and suffered a “severe hallucination” when he was not taking medicine, and it is believed that he has not taken his medicine for several days.

Presumably, he left his home near Wrightwood Road and Lilac Road, leaving a hat and a jacket in the driveway, and his medication and phone numbers at home.

The department did not share any other details about Sokol’s death.
