San Diego-On Saturday afternoon, a fire in rural San Diego County has spread to more than 50 acres and threatened houses.

Shortly before noon, a fire broke out in the San Isabel area west of Julian. Authorities said a motorhome caught fire and the flames spread to Interstate 79 near Mesa Grande Road.

By 2 pm, the authorities stated that the fire had spread to 50 acres, with a control rate of 0%, but “firefighters have made good progress in the residential community-there is currently no structural damage,” Added Cal Fire.

An evacuation site was set up at Henshaw Lake in the north.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department stated that representatives are going door to door to ensure that people in the area leave safely.
