Just as this week’s heat wave is coming to an end, as we enter the holiday weekend, the Philadelphia area is being hit by showers and thunderstorms.

Rain began on Wednesday evening, and the National Weather Service issued Torrent watch Thursday morning from 2pm on Thursday to 8am on Friday.

Officials said residents should pay close attention to the forecast and be prepared to take action when a warning is issued.

The rainy weather is expected to last most of Friday and Saturday, with lower temperatures and possible thunderstorms.

The weather in the area is expected to clear up on July 4 and bring sunny weather in time.

Depending on where you plan to spend the holiday weekend, the weather may vary.

Philadelphia

Thursday: There are showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The National Weather Service stated that the storm could become severe due to destructive winds and heavy rainfall. The highest temperature is 77 degrees and the lowest temperature is 66 degrees.

Friday: There may be showers and thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. The temperature is expected to be as high as 80 degrees and as low as 61 degrees. The whole day was cloudy.

on Saturday: There is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The weather is expected to be sunny, with the highest temperature approaching 74 degrees and the lowest temperature of 60 degrees.

Sunday, July 4: It is sunny, the highest temperature is 80 degrees, and the lowest temperature is 61 degrees. As of Thursday, no rain is expected.

on Monday: The weather is fine, the highest is 87 degrees, and the lowest is 66 degrees.

Jersey Shore
