As part of the ongoing Wawa Welcome America Festival, Philadelphia will hold a July 4th concert and fireworks display on Sunday night, which is the return of virtual celebrations during the coronavirus pandemic last year.

Celebrations and events Wow, welcome to America It has been going on since June 19th as part of an extended series commemorating the June Festival holiday in collaboration with the African American Museum and Visit Philadelphia.

As the city prepares to celebrate July 4th, officials issued COVID-19 safety guidelines, road closures and other information for people planning to attend the Mann Performing Arts Center and Benjamin Franklin Parkway events.

The concert, led by Bebe Rexha and Flo Rida, will be held from 7pm to 11pm, and will be televised on NBC10, and will be broadcast on the NBC10 app and websiteThe special performance of Philadelphia native Cam Anthony, who recently won the “The Voice” award, will be accompanied by Philadelphia POPS. The concert is free, but tickets and pre-registration are required.

The fireworks display will take place over the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Parkway and is scheduled to start around 9:30 pm.Invite guests to gather at Parkway from 8pm

COVID-19 safety precautions

Philadelphia recommends that people who have not been vaccinated or fully vaccinated wear masks both indoors and outdoors when participating in Wawa Welcome America events.

People who have received the last dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least two weeks before participating in the Wawa Welcome America event are considered fully vaccinated.

Mann Performing Arts Center has its own set COVID-19 health and safety guidelines This should be reviewed before participating in the event.

Thursday, July 1

Wawa Hoagie Day starts at noon in Independence Hall. The closure will affect the following streets:

• 6th Street East Lane between Race and Arch Street, 5 am to 3 pm
• Chestnut Street between 6th Street and 7th Street from 5 am to 6 pm
• 6th Street between Market and Walnut Street from 5 am to 6 pm
• 5 am to 6 pm on Fifth Street between Market and Chestnut Street
• From 5 am to 6 pm, Ludlow Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Street
• From 5 am to 6 pm, Ranstead Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Street

The Black Gotham Experience at the African American Museum in Philadelphia will begin at 6 pm and affect the following streets:

• From noon to 11 pm, the parking lane on the west side of Seventh Street between Arch Street and Apple Tree Street
• Noon to 11 pm, between 7th Street and 8th Street in the North Parking Lot of Arch Street

Friday, July 2

Our America Now event will be closed from 10 a.m. and will affect the following streets:

• The exit lane of Ben Franklin Park Avenue between 20th Street and 21st Street from 10 am to noon.
• From 10 am to noon, 21st Street between Ben Franklin Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.
• From 10 am to noon, the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and 21st Street.
• 4pm to midnight, on 20th Street between Ben Franklin Parkway and Pennsylvania Avenue.
• Wood Street between 19th and 20th Streets between 4 pm and midnight.

Saturday, July 3

The Freedom Celebration will close the Sixth Street between Chestnut and Walnut Streets from 8 am to noon.

Sunday, July 4

The Freedom Celebration will again affect Sixth Street between Chestnut and Walnut Streets from 10 am to 4 pm

The July 4th concert and fireworks display will affect the following streets:

• North Mount George Avenue between South Mount George Avenue and Winnipeg Avenue from 8 am to 10:30 pm
• Montgomery Avenue and Republic Avenue in front of the Mann Performing Arts Center during the fireworks show
•Ben Franklin Parkway internal and external lanes from 8pm to 10:30pm
• From 8pm to 10:30pm, 20th Street between Arch Street and Ben Franklin Park Avenue
• 8pm to 10:30pm, 21st Pennsylvania Avenue
• From 8pm to 10:30pm, 22nd Street between Arch Street and Ben Franklin Park Avenue
• From 8pm to 10:30pm on Chunyuan Street on 22nd Street
• Art Museum Tunnel from 8pm to 10:30pm
• From 8pm to 10:30pm, I-76 east ramp on Spring Garden Street

Supplementary notes:

• The closure of Park Road may begin early in the evening, depending on the size of the crowd.
• The Philadelphia Museum of Art is open as usual. For admission, visitors can pay what they want throughout the day.Please check the museum website More information about tickets and directions.
• The Philadelphia Parking Authority will not enforce meter, kiosk, or residential parking time restrictions on Sundays and Mondays. However, safety regulations will continue to be effective. All parking regulations will resume on Tuesday.

Transportation and public transportation

The Mann Hotel is located in Fairmount Park, easily accessible by public transportation, car, carpool or bicycle.

Mann encourages customers to arrive at all performances in advance to take into account different traffic conditions.

Mann can be easily reached through SEPTA’s Mann Center Loop. Man ring Buses depart from 19th Street and Locust Street, and there are 8 to 12 stops on the way to Mann. The return bus departs from the Crawford Circle drop-off point in Mann 30 minutes after the performance.

The rider pays for Mann Loop the same as any other SEPTA ride, including SEPTA keys or cash. The senior citizens use the SEPTA Key senior ID card to travel for free. All children under 12 travel for free.

The Mann has a dedicated carpool pick-up and drop-off location at Crawford Circle. Check or consult your carpool app to get the exact location to meet your driver.

Parking information

Parking at the Mann Hotel is free. The parking lot is located on the grass, and the parking attendant can help guests find open spaces at any time. The main parking lot is clearly marked and can be accessed outside Republic Avenue.

For those who plan to send people off before parking, The Mann staff will guide you to the drop-off location at Namdaemun, and then direct you to the parking space.

Customers with valid handicapped license plates or other authorized identification certificates can park near the north-south entrance on a first come, first served basis. Mann provides ADA-compliant barrier-free seats for all performances. A limited number of seats are reserved for customers with low vision or blindness. These seats are located in the front and center of the area.

Customers should follow the signs to the VIP parking area of ??the designated disabled parking space. Customers can also get off at the north gate, south gate or in front of the ticket office. The distance from the south parking lot to the main seating area is approximately 600 feet. The distance from the north parking lot to the main seating area is approximately 500 feet.

Site rules and safety information

To ensure the safety of all participants in the event, when guests enter Mann, all large bags and containers will be searched.

Guests with lawn tickets are welcome to bring blankets and chairs. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, but gGuests are welcome to bring their own picnic.

Mann does not allow the following items:

•Alcoholic beverages
•Glass bottle or container
•Tents or large structures may block the sight of other guests
• Narcotics or illegal drugs
• Firecrackers or explosives
•firearms
• Open flame
•Animals (service animals are welcome, but pets are not allowed)
• Drone
• Any kind of weapons

Those who plan to gather at Parkway to watch the fireworks on Sundays are also prohibited from bringing the above items.

In an emergency or when reporting suspicious persons, activities or objects (backpacks, packages or containers), please notify the police immediately or call 911.

Parents or guardians should report missing children to the nearest law enforcement officer, doctor, private security representative or information kiosk as soon as possible.

Before arriving at the Welcome America event, be sure to take a photo of your child. If separated, it will be very helpful to those looking for your child. It is also recommended that children remember their parents’ mobile phone numbers.

If you lose your personal belongings in Mann, Mann’s lost and found office is located in the customer service area of ??the square.
