Franklin Fountain opens outpost in Delaware County

The Franklin Fountain in the Old City is often considered one of the best ice cream providers in Philadelphia, and it is opening an outpost outside the city.

Just in time for the weekend of July 4th, the Franklin Fountain is coming Delaware County.

Starting Thursday, ice cream will be sold at Bonnie’s Wonder Gardens in Lansdowne.

The sugar house at Franklin Fountain comes from The Spruce Street Seaport Park in Philadelphia has been demolished and rebuilt near the Garden Center and will be open from July to September and will provide temporary services for winter holidays.

According to a press release at the opening ceremony of Delco, Bonnie McShane, owner of Bonnie Miracle Garden, has been a friend and supplier of Franklin Fountain for more than 10 years, and Eric Berley) recommended this place.

The new Sugar Shack will provide ice cream, frozen mousse, ice cream sticks, ice cream sandwiches and root beer floats as well as Reading Draft Birch Beer.

The business hours are currently from Thursday to Sunday from 2pm to 9pm, but may change based on community reactions.
