MISSION BAY-This weekend, several people gathered together to pray for the missing Chula Vista mother Maya Millete, who has been away from home for nearly six months.

The walk takes place on Sunday at De Anza Cove in Mission Bay Park.

“Today marks that we have not seen her for six months,” said Maya’s sister Maricris Drouaillet.

Maricris and her husband Richard Drouaillet said these six months were difficult. “Our lifestyle has changed, as she said, we almost all live in our trailers,” Richard said.

The Drouaillet family frequently travels between Riverside and San Diego County.

“This is what you do for your family. You will never abandon your family. If one of us disappears, if one of your community members disappears, this is what the community does. They will get together and we look for They, we will not give up until we find the answer,” Richard said.

Maya’s family and friends, who were once strangers, gathered together, bowed their heads and pleaded for help to find Maya. “They don’t even know Maya, they just listened to her story, which touched their hearts, they are here, they are very dedicated, and we have learned to love them again,” Maricris said.

TeamMaya will hold another search party in the future. Posts and information can be found in “Help find maya“Facebook page.
