Alaba Excited

Austrian defender David Alaba can’t wait to fight against Italy, as his country makes its debut in the knockout stage of the European Championship.

The Real Madrid native said: “In the round of 16 against Italy at Wembley Stadium, each of us had a dream come true.

“It’s incredible to reach the quarter-finals in Munich.

“This is incredible for all of us-another dream has come true. But we haven’t considered this yet. Our focus is on the game.

“This is a special game and we want to do it well.

“I won at Wembley, so I have fond memories of this stadium.

“I am looking forward to a great game, I remember the atmosphere of the Champions League final, but Saturday is very special for Austria and we can’t wait to go out.

“I don’t need to tell the boys how to deal with certain situations. Some people may ask me for advice, but we have others who have played at this level. I am not worried.”
