BRITNEY Spears spoke out on her father’s controversial conservatorship for the first time since her public breakdown in 2008 but was almost DENIED entry.

As the entertainment icon attempted to break her silence on her ongoing legal matter, the meeting had to break due to “technical difficulties.”

She was almost DENIED entry into her own hearing… as the court clerk claimed they at first “did not recognize” her connection.

The clerk then claimed they were “hesitant” to admit her to the virtual court.

When he did the caller was asked her to ID herself, that’s when she said the line: “oh me? Britney Spears”

The hearing was then called into a break, due to technical difficulties, but those present heard Britney, 39, eerily whisper “it’s not technical difficulties” as the issues resumed.

“Hearing Britney whisper “it’s not technical difficulties” on this live stream after the court agent said, “we’re having technical difficulties” was CHILLING,” someone present wrote.

The pop princess addressed the court by video as her dad, Jamie, and mom, Lynn, also joined in.

Britney is expected to argue against the conservatorship, which was implemented in 2008 after a series of public meltdowns by the singer and prevents Britney from controlling her life or having any access to her million-dollar fortune.

“I want to end the conservatorship and I don’t want to be evaluated as a pre-condition,” she added.

She continued: “It took a year during COVID to get self-care methods.

“Conservator lied and said I could get nothing done.  I couldn’t get my nails done… anything.  The conservator is now like my dad was… they work for me.”

The Toxic songstress then heartbreakingly explained she’s “scared of people, doesn’t trust people” and she’s “stuck in Westlake where she has no privacy and the paparazzi saw her crying as she left therapy Tuesday.”

Britney, 29, expressed “serious opposition” to her conservatorship and her father’s extreme “control” over her life, The New York Times has discovered in 2016 court documents.

The singer said her father “restricted everything from whom she dated to the color of her kitchen cabinets,” making it difficult for her to make simple decisions by herself.

“She articulated she feels the conservatorship has become an oppressive and controlling tool against her,” a court investigator wrote in the closed court report that year.

The system in place held “too much control” over her life she allegedly told the investigator, urging: “Too, too much!”

“She is ‘sick of being taken advantage of’ and she said she is the one working and earning her money but everyone around her is on her payroll,” they wrote.

  • WHAT IS A CONSERVATORSHIP?

In 2009, FreeBritney.net was launched in response to her court-approved conservatorship – a form of legal guardianship.

It grants a chosen individual full authority over another’s life and assets.

The conservator typically holds the same rights and responsibilities as a parent would over a child.

It is typically enacted for individuals who are incapable of making their own decisions.

In 2008, after Britney was committed to a psychiatric ward, her dad was granted a temporary conservatorship which became permanent by the end of the year.

Lawyer Andrew Wallet was also made a co-conservator to focus on managing her financial assets.

Conservatorships are supposed to protect people who can’t look after themselves – but Britney carried on making albums and going on world tours.

Specifically, fans are calling for Britney to have access to her own lawyer in her case.

The topic blew up on Twitter after Kanye announced his intention to run for office as fans noted that he, too, was hospitalized for mental illness and held against his will.

“Britney Spears goes through a mental health crisis publicly and she loses her rights. Kanye West goes through a mental health crisis publicly and he runs for president,” one tweeted.

“Britney’s situation is truly horrible and is a violation of human rights.

“There’s no reason why she should continue to be under a conservatorship. She doesn’t even have control of her own finances or children,” wrote another.

  • WHEN DID BRITNEY LOSE CUSTODY OF HER KIDS?

The star previously lost custody of the two boys in 2007 after a breakdown which saw the distressed star shave her own head before attacking a photographer’s car with an umbrella.

A judge granted full custody to Federline, much to Britney’s distress.

In 2008, Britney was then arrested after locking herself in a bathroom with Jayden, who was one-year-old at the time.

The drama ended with Britney being stretchered away from her home in an ambulance after a four-hour standoff.

The following year, Britney’s first son Sean was born.

At barely a year old, Sean had already appeared in the TV mini-series Britney & Kevin: Chaotic.

Britney and Kevin gave Sean a little brother not long after.

Jayden Federline, the pair’s second child, was born in September 2006.

However, the romance between the pair ended just a few months after Jayden was born.

Britney filed for divorce from the former dancer in November 2006.

The split was settled in March 2007.

In March 2020, Jayden shared private details about the family on an Instagram Live – revealing that Britney apparently might quit music while lashing out at his granddad Jamie.

  • BRITNEY’S CHILDREN IS ‘THE ONLY THING SHE REALLY WANTS’

In a new documentary by the New York Times titled Framing Britney Spears, several people who worked for the pop star give testimony on her personal life and her conservatorship, which has ruled over entire life her since the mid-2000’s.

A source told E! News that Britney is “working hard” to get her children back, saying: “She has been working hard and it’s the only thing she truly wants. She is hoping her mom can help her put up a fight. She doesn’t really know what to do but it’s her mission to get back to 50-50 custody.”

The conservatorship was put in place following a tumultuous 2007 in which Britney divorced backing dancer Kevin Federline, 43, shaved her head, attacked a photographer’s car with an umbrella and entered rehab.

She also lost custody of sons Sean, now 15, and Jayden, 14, and was committed to a psychiatric hospital.

  • WHAT DID BRITNEY FANS SAY ABOUT DEMENTIA CLAIMS?

Britney’s furious fans rubbished her dad’s claim she has a brain condition — saying: “Dementia patients do not go on world tours.”

Fan Hayley Herms said: “There is no way any dementia patient is going on world tours, doing Vegas residencies, is learning 27 back-to-back combo numbers, full choreography. No honey, that is not happening.”

Hayley is fighting for the Free Britney movement which aims to end her father’s controversial control over her finances, business and personal life.

Free Britney campaigner Megan Radford says the claim meant she could be placed in a probate conservatorship, rather than a mental health one which nobody can earn money from.

She said Britney “clearly did not and does not have dementia”, and called her father’s case “fraudulent”.

Jamie declined to comment on the allegations made in the film. But he has previously insisted he is working in her best interests and is dedicated to “protecting her.”

  • BRITNEY’S LAWYER PREVIOUSLY SAID SHE WAS ‘SCARED’ OF HER FATHER

In August 2020, Britney began a bid to remove her father from controlling her life.

In November 2020, it was agreed by a judge that the conservatorship would remain in place.

However, Britney’s lawyer said at the hearing that she was “scared” of her father and refused to perform while the conservatorship is in place.

  • WHEN DID BRITNEY CONSERVATORSHIP START?

A conservatorship is a form of legal guardianship.

Britney’s conservatorship was implemented in 2008 after the star had a series of public meltdowns.

The arrangement has put her financial assets, estate, and personal assets under the control of her father and lawyer.
