In recent years, Wawa and 2SP Brewing Company have become a tradition of cooperative alcoholic beverages in Delaware County, and have jointly produced several limited-available coffee beers.

This summer, the two companies chose a different refreshment for the first time.

Wawa and 2SP will release their Sunfest Strawberry Lemonade Shandy, a formula based on the flavor of Wawa strawberry lemonade. Like previous collaborations, this new drink combines the expertise of Wawa beverage master Michael McClaughlin and 2SP chief brewer Bob Barrar.

Mike Sherlock, Wawa’s Chief Product Marketing Officer, said: “There is no better time than now to reunite with our friends at 2SP and provide our community with the perfect summer drink for us to enjoy in the past year.” This light and refreshing Shandi beer is perfect for drinking with friends and family in your backyard or on the beach. We hope this beer will unite the community and add a little extra enthusiasm after a difficult year. “

Sunfest Strawberry Lemonade Shandy will be available in six Wawa select stores on June 24th. The official launch will be held at Wawa’s newest Philadelphia store, located at 2600 Pennrose Ave. at the bottom of Platt Bridge. At 4 pm on Thursday, there will be a ceremonial first pouring, sampling, beach-themed gifts and six cans, each priced at $8.99.

The other five stores in Pennsylvania that will offer this beverage on June 24 are:

•Chadds Ford — 721 Naamans Creek Road
•Middletown — 1073 Baltimore Pike
• Emmaus — 201 S. Cedar Crest Blvd.
• Blakeslee — 296 Route 940
Horsham-1139 Horsham Road

The drink will also be on sale at the 2SP Brewing Company in Aston on June 26, 120 Concord Road, Units 101-103. The brewery will host a beach-themed press conference at noon on Saturday, which will include boardwalk-style games, mechanical surfboards, live music, food trucks and more.

Starting June 28, Sunfest Strawberry Lemonade Shandy will be available at select distributors and beer retailers in southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and the east coast of Maryland.
