San Diego-The restaurants in Gaslamp Quarter are preparing for Father’s Day this Sunday, offering special dishes to allow local customers to come back after more than a year of restrictions.

“Greystone is making a 3-course dinner menu, whiskey pairing, wine pairing and beer pairing, depending on what my father likes to drink,” said Sara Arjmand, marketing director at Greystone Prime Steakhouse.

Arjmand said it feels great to see people not wearing masks, especially in the hotel industry.

Arjmand said: “Last year was a trauma for us. We were closed, it was closed, the seats were limited, and we kept opening and closing.”

One year after being separated due to the coronavirus, the Jefhak family finally reunited at Butcher’s Cut on Fifth Avenue on Saturday.

“I’m usually a vegetarian, and once in a year I say that I want a steak dinner,” Robert Jeff Huck said.

During Father’s Day last year, the salt water stores on Fifth Avenue and Market Street never had a chance to open.

Saltwater’s manager Giovanni Gargano said that they opened the restaurant in March last year and had to close it a week later. “Everything is back to normal.”

Saltwater will provide $10 vintage antiques for Father’s Day.

As part of the Gaslamp Quarter “The New Normal is Now” event, every father who spends a special day in the city centre tomorrow will receive a free bottle of hot sauce.

Arjmand said: “For every father, if you come to Fifth and Market tomorrow, you will get free hot sauce, come from noon to 3 o’clock.”

Arjmand said don’t forget to celebrate your father this year-because we all skipped a year in 2020.

“For all the restaurants in Gaslamp and Gaslamp, this is very exciting, everyone is out-and of course on June 15^day It just happened and it was very lively,” Arjmand said.
