San Diego (CNS)-A South Carolina parole who allegedly killed a man who dated him at a motel in downtown San Diego, pleaded not guilty to the murder charge on Thursday.

Ryan Breeland, 41, was accused of killing 32-year-old Kenneth Banks. Was found dead Around 11:15 am on June 9th, at a motel on 10th Avenue.

According to San Diego Police Lieutenant Matt Dobbs, Banks’ body was found in a motel room when employees went in to clean up.

The lieutenant said that the victim is believed to have been living with Buriram, the man who rented the room, and they appeared to be dating.

Later that day, Buriram was arrested and sent to the county jail.

When the arrest of Buriram was announced last week, the police did not disclose the suspicious cause of Banksy’s death, but the criminal indictment stated that a knife was used in the murder.

The complaint also stated that the killing occurred sometime between June 7 and June 9 and that Breeland had previously been convicted by San Diego County for using deadly weapons and assaults with domestic violence.
