How did the murder of the Bumblebee spread to the United States?

Scientists don’t know how they came to Washington State, but they have met in Canada before.

In a sighting in 2021, a resident found the dead bumblebee on a lawn near the city of Marysville and reported the incident.

Officials say there is no obvious way to get the Hornet to Marysville.

“This finding is confusing because it is too early for males to appear,” said Dr. Osama El-Lissy, deputy director of the US Department of Agriculture’s Quarantine Program.

El-Lissy said that federal agencies will work with state officials to “investigate the area to verify the existence of a population in Snohomish County.”

Experts believe that they are sometimes transported by international cargo, and in some cases deliberately.

This giant hornet was first discovered in the state in December last year. Scientists believe that when the queen bee emerges from hibernation to build a nest and form a colony, it becomes active again in April.
