Rossi ready to rumble

Hungary may be in the so-called death group, but coach Marco Rossi is confident that his men can make an impact.

He said: “We will do everything we can to push ourselves to the limit. We know who we are facing.

“We will be down to earth, but of course we hope to realize our dreams. Dreaming is free, so we dream.

“Of course, our dream still exists between us. We talk about it and hope to realize that dream. Let us hope it continues during the European Cup.”

Hungary held a competition in Puskas Arena in front of a rare spectator that could hold 61,000 people. Life in Budapest returned to normal and residents carried immunization cards.

That was after Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban ignored the EU’s use of vaccines provided by Russia and China and accelerated the issuance of national lockdown regulations.

Hungary entered the final 16 of the 2016 European Cup. In that game, they drew 3-3 with Portugal in the group stage.

Portugal has never lost Hungary (9 wins and 4 draws).
