All people over 18 may book their COVID JAB before this weekend

Sir Simon Stevens, chief executive of the UK’s NHS, said that all adults in England should be able to order the Covid-19 vaccine “by this weekend”.

He stated at the NHS Federation’s annual meeting that the NHS will “do its best” and “complete” the Covid-19 vaccination plan within the next four weeks.

Sir Simon said: “It is very important that we complete the Covid vaccination program to the maximum in the next four weeks, which is a historic landmark in terms of the effectiveness provided by the NHS. Achievement-More than 60 million doses have now been injected.

“By July 19th, our goal is to provide dual stimulation to approximately two-thirds of adults across the country.

“And we have also made great strides in extending the service to all adults-now 23 and 24 year olds can be vaccinated through the national reservation service.

“I expect that by the end of this week, we will be able to open nationwide reservations to all adults 18 years and older.

“Of course, vaccine supply continues to be restricted, so we are adjusting our pace at the rate of additional vaccine supply between now and July 19.”
