Santiago (CNS)-Police say a man in his 20s was hit by a car near the Sorrento Valley while pushing a shopping cart on the street on Saturday.

According to San Diego Police Officer Tony Martinez, the incident occurred at 12:07 AM on Saturday in the 6600 district of Mira Mesa Avenue.

The official said that a 20-year-old man drove a red Honda Civic eastbound and hit a pedestrian.

Martinez said: “Pedestrian fractured both legs, skull fractures and internal injuries, and was pronounced dead.”

The personnel of the Transportation Section are dealing with the investigation.
