San Diego (CNS) – Boiling water notification for Encanto and surrounding communities Dismissed On Saturday, San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria said.

“Residents can resume normal water use,” the mayor tweeted Saturday morning. “All water tests have found that there is no contamination in the water supply, and the water is safe to drink and prepare food.”

City officials said the notice was issued on Thursday, when residents and businesses in the area were advised to boil tap water for drinking or preparing food to avoid potential diseases.

The announcement was made after a contractor working near the intersection of Empire Avenue and 65th Street hit the main water pipeline.
