She said: “Fill your thermos with half of the cold water and put it in the refrigerator.
“I keep mine in it all day.”
Then Sam continued to stuff the frozen hot water bottle into her bed and pulled over the quilt.

“I put mine in about an hour before you go to bed,” Sam said.
Once she was ready to go to bed, Sam moved the now slightly defrosted water bottle from under the quilt to her pillowcase.
She said, “Put it in your pillowcase, or just put it on top-it’s great!”
