For the Queen, the COVID lockdown is “very difficult”

Prince Edward revealed that the coronavirus pandemic was “very difficult” for the Queen and Prince Philip during the lockdown of Windsor Castle.

The 57-year-old Earl of Wessex and his 56-year-old wife Sophie disclosed how the coronavirus crisis affected his parents when the world closed and was forced to quarantine.

“For them, life is about contact, about people, and then suddenly everything stops,” Edward said Telegraph magazine.

Although the queen’s engagement kept her busy and “did not really give her too much time to think about anything for too long”, he said the epidemic was “very difficult” for his parents.

In April last year, the “Sun” revealed on Sunday that the 95-year-old Queen and 22 staff were locked up in Windsor Castle and called “HMS Bubble” by a senior aide.
