The 76ers escaped the first half by one point in the fourth game against the Wizards, but the important story is that they lost center and MVP candidate Joel Embiid, who left the game and did not Come back with a sore right knee as the team described.

Embiid fell awkwardly at the end of the first quarter. He seemed to land on his lower back/buttocks. After the fall, he continued the game, and finally entered the locker room after the first quarter and did not return before halftime. He was finally ordered to go out overnight.

Let’s take a look at autumn below:

As you can see, Embiid initially seems to be grabbing his lower back, which is an area where he has dealt with injuries before. However, his knees also bend slightly during the fall. Knee injuries will be even more worrying, especially considering that the 76ers big man missed 10 games with another knee injury earlier this season.

If the 76ers can beat the Wizards in the fourth game and complete the sweep, without your best player (not to mention another, Ben Simmons, foul trouble), this is not necessarily an easy task. That will give Embiid some-it will take time to recover. If not, this series will soon become interesting.

That being said, we will have to wait until the end of the game to get any other information about Embiid’s status and understand how serious the injury actually is, so be sure to check back for updates.
