As temperatures reach record highs, the southeastern United States will be hot this week.

During a sweltering work week, nearly one-third of the population will endure high temperatures of 90 degrees Celsius or higher.

Kyle Theim, a meteorologist at the Office of the National Weather Service (NWS) in Atlanta, USA, reported extreme weather.
