San Diego (CNS)-The average price of self-service gasoline per gallon in San Diego County rose by two tenths of a cent to $4.163 on Sunday, a tenth increase a day later.

According to data from AAA and Oil Price Information Service, the average price in the past 26 days has risen for 24 days, up 12.5 cents, to the highest level since October 15, 2019. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the currency also rose by two tenths.

The average price is 1.1 cents higher than a week ago, 13.9 cents higher than a month ago, and 1.285 US cents higher than a year ago. In the past 123 days, the currency pair has risen 113 points, up 81.8 cents and 93.6 cents since the beginning of the year.

Compared to a year ago, the substantial price increase was the result of a sharp drop in the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic, when driving and demand fell sharply due to permanent orders aimed at reducing the spread of the virus.
