Dennis Shapovalov withdrew from the French Open with a shoulder injury
Due to a shoulder injury, Canada’s Denis Shapovalov has withdrawn from the upcoming French Open.
He announced the news via a Twitter post on Sunday.
“After consulting with my medical team, I was sad and decided to quit @rolandgarros, which made me feel sad. Unfortunately, my shoulders have been bothering me. Although the physical examination looks good, it is better to take a break. Roland ·Roland-Garros, you are in 2022.”
Shapovalov from Richmond Hill, Ontario reached the final of the Geneva Open on Saturday, but lost to Casper Rud of Norway by a decision of 7-6 (6), 6-4. Ruud).
The main draw for the second Grand Slam tournament of the season will begin on May 30.
