Two people were hospitalized after the car collided with the MTS bus

San Diego (CNS)-In 2016, the 60-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was killed in a frontal crash on an MTS bus in the University Heights area on Thursday night.

According to San Diego Police Officer Rob Heims, the crash occurred at 6:25 pm on the 4500 block of Texas Street near Monroe Avenue.

Heims said that for unknown reasons, the driver in Malibu was heading north, crossed the middle turning lane, and crashed into an MTS bus heading south.

The Chevrolet driver was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead. Hyms said a 59-year-old woman on the bus hit the head and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The name of the victim was not disclosed.
