San Diego (CNS)-On Monday, a man described by police as his 30s robbed a wireless cricket store in the East San Diego area at gunpoint.

According to San Diego Police Department official Robert Hems, the man entered the store at 3648 University Avenue at about 5:35 pm, pointed a gun at an employee, and demanded a cell phone.

The man took his cell phone and drove south along Cherokee Avenue and fled the store.

The man is said to weigh about 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray shirt, khaki pants and gray Vans shoes when he disappeared.

San Diego Police Department robbery detectives are investigating the robbery and ask anyone who provides information to contact them at 619-531-2299.
