San Diego (CNS)-Police said on Saturday that six drivers were arrested for driving at a checkpoint in Pacific Beach under the influence of alcohol.

According to police officer Anthony Obregon, the checkpoint was established by the San Diego Police Department at 2700 Garnett Avenue between 9pm on Friday and 2am on Saturday.

The official said that out of the 2,081 vehicles that passed the checkpoint, 856 vehicles were inspected and seven drivers were evaluated.

Two drivers were cited and six vehicles were impounded.

Obregon said the police had planned to conduct another DUI and driver’s license checkpoint or DUI saturation patrol later on Saturday.
