MEGHAN Markle is to blame for Prince Harry’s constant attacks on the Royal Family, he appeared to reveal yesterday.

The Duke of Sussex, 36, told Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast that Meghan came up with the ‘most amazing explanation’ as he discussed royal life as being a ‘fairytale’ compared to the reality.

“My wife had the most amazing explanation… you don’t need to be a princess, you can create the life that will be better than any princess. And that’s coming from her own lived experience,” he said.

Harry suggested Meghan’s comments completely changed his mindset on royal life, setting him on a slippery slope he’s currently on in constantly criticising the Royal Family – most recently his father’s parenting skills.

Elsewhere in the podcast Harry suggested Charles’ parenting had left him traumatised and suggested a lot of “genetic pain” had been passed down.

He also compared his ultra-privileged royal life to the Truman Show and suggested growing up in palaces, being waited on hand and foot and attending the world’s top schools was “like being an animal at the zoo”.

His woeful lack of self-awareness comments sparked immediate backlash online, with Piers Morgan leading the charge against him branding the Prince nothing but a “spoilt brat”.

  • CHARLES IGNORES QUESTIONS ABOUT HARRY

Prince Charles ignored questions about Prince Harry during an official engagement today after his son blasted his parenting skills.

The Prince of Wales was out and about in Cardiff just hours after Harry claimed he moved Archie and Meghan to USA to “break the cycle” of “genetic pain” from his own childhood.

Despite the bombshell claims, Charles appeared in good spirits as he went about his first of three official engagements today.

Aides made clear before he arrived that he would not be answering questions about his parenting skills.

But one reporter from the BBC tried to quiz him anyway, asking for his response to yesterday’s Armchair Expert podcast in which Harry criticised his parenting.

  • HARRY’S NEIGHBOUR ORLANDO TIPPED HIM OFF ABOUT PAPARAZZI

Prince Harry has revealed his new celeb neighbour Orlando Bloom warned him about a photographer who was in the area, in search of some pap pics.

Bloom and his wife, singer Katy Perry, live just a stone’s throw away from Prince Harry and Meghan, in Montecito, California.

During Harry’s chat with US podcast host Dax Shepard, he revealed the thoughtful way that Bloom had looked out for him.

“Two days ago Orlando Bloom sent me a message because he is just down the road and we sort of keep in contact because of the paparazzi,” he said.

“He sent me a photograph which his security got of this long-haired guy with a beanie on, ear pods on with his massive camera lying in the back of his 4×4 truck, blacked-out windows.”

  • LATEST INTERVIEW LABELLED ‘WORSE THAN OPRAH’

Royal correspondent Rupert Bell has taken aim at Harry’s recent chat with US podcast host Dax Shepard, saying it was worse than the bombshell Oprah interview.

“This actually feels almost to some extent worse than the Oprah one because this seems to me to be a straight dig not only at Charles and the way he was brought up by him after the death of mother, but also at Queen and Philip and the whole family,” Shepard said.

“Everyone is everyone else’s fault. Nothing is his fault.

“There is a sense of woe is me about everything he is saying.”

“The Royal Family, we know, is dysfunctional family, no one denying that, but at the same time, he seems to want to make sure he’s turning the knife more and more and making it seem like they haven’t got a clue how people live in the real world.”

  • PRINCE HARRY ‘ISN’T HAPPY’ ABOUT ARCHIE BEING PHOTOGRAPHED ON HIS FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Prince Harry has called out the New York Post after the publication snapped photos of Archie being picked up from his first day of school.

Harry spoke about the paparazzi photos – and voiced his frustration over them – while appearing on an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast.

The photos of a heavily pregnant Meghan carrying two-year-old Archie were taken and published in April.

Speaking about the paparazzi culture that existed in LA, Harry said: “It’s this sort of rabid feeding frenzy… kids don’t get a choice; they don’t get a say in it.”

  • ‘INTERVIEW HARRY SHOULD NOT HAVE GIVEN’

One royal commentator has said Harry’s interview was a “mistake”, and that it was an interview that Harry “should not have given”.

Reacting to Harry’s interview on the Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, Richard Fitzwilliams said Harry’s use of foul language was “puerile”.

“There was no reason whatever to go into personal matters in this podcast,” he said.

Fitzwilliams said: “It seems that he believes that interviews which give insights into his life as a senior royal give him celebrity credibility.”

“It shows he is in a form of limbo, he is trying to be meaningful but it won’t be long before having him on a podcast will be a sign of being passé.”

  • NATION URGED TO ‘KEEP TALKING’ ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH BY WILLIAM AND KATE

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and a host of famous faces have urged the nation to “keep talking” to support everyone’s mental health in a special radio broadcast.

William and Kate and stars from the worlds of sport, television and the arts featured in the Mental Health Minute message, broadcast on airwaves across the nation to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.

David Beckham, Dame Shirley Bassey and Charles Dance were among the celebrities who each spoke a line of the message written by poet and mental health activist Hussain Manawer, who also featured in the broadcast.

During the 60-second message William said: “So, as we come to the end of this Mental Health Awareness Week, it would be great to keep talking.”

He was followed by singer-songwriter Anne Marie, who said: “To a loved one, friend or colleague, let’s keep making the conversation accessible.”

  • CONTINUED

He said: “It was a great honour to undertake the challenge of rebuilding such an iconic and famous racing yacht and with the use of modern boat building techniques, bring her back to full racing condition.

“It was also an honour to know that the Duke of Edinburgh was able to see photographs as the rebuild progressed, but equally sad that he was unable to see the finished boat.”

The duke served as a Royal Navy officer and was a keen sailor who was appointed admiral of the Royal Yacht Squadron.

  • RESTORED ROYAL YACHT ONCE OWNED BY DUKE OF EDINBURGH JOINS HISTORIC FLEET

A sailboat that was owned by the Duke of Edinburgh has been added to the historic fleet of the Royal Yacht Britannia.

The restoration of Bluebottle was funded by the Leith-based attraction over an 18-month period.

The Royal Yacht Britannia Trust said the dragon class sailboat was “formerly owned and much-loved” by Philip.

It will join yachts Coweslip and Bloodhound – both of which were also owned by Philip – at the popular Leith site, which has had a “longstanding ambition” to reunite the three historic vessels.

David Heritage, of David Heritage Racing Yachts, was funded by the trust to restore Bluebottle.

  • AISLE DO

Prince Harry has revealed how he and Meghan Markle secretly met up in a supermarket – and ‘pretended’ they didn’t know each other to avoid attracting attention.

The Duke of Sussex told Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast that the couple did their best to stay “incognito” during their first dates in London.

Harry and Meghan went to great lengths to keep their relationship and trips across the globe a secret from the world until October 2016, when news first broke they were an item.

During the podcast, the Duke was asked by Dax if he had ever done “mundane things” as a royal, such as go to the supermarket.

Harry responded: “The first time Meghan and I met up for her to come and stay with me, we met up in a supermarket in London, pretending we didn’t know each other, texting each other from the other side of the aisles. There’s people looking at me, giving me all these weird looks, and coming up to me and saying ‘hi’. I texted her saying “is this the right one”, and she said “no you want parchment paper”, and “I’m like where’s the parchment paper?!”

  • ‘BLOOD BOIL’

Meghan Markle encouraged “angry” Prince Harry to seek therapy after seeing him “hurting” – and he says it made him a better dad.

The Duke of Sussex told Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that his wife had encouraged him to get help with feelings of “frustration” about things that were “out of his control”.

During the podcast, Dax asked Harry about what spurred him to seek therapy.

The Duke responded: “It was a conversation I had with my now wife.

“She saw it straight away, she could tell that I was hurting and that some of the stuff that was out of my control was making me really angry – it would make my blood boil.

  • YAP SLAP

Piers Morgan slammed Prince Harry today for “yapping about his private life” after the royal said it was “like The Truman Show”.

The former Good Morning Britain host was responding to Harry’s appearance on actor Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast in the States.

Piers was clearly irked after Harry compared his life to the Jim Carrey film in which the main character’s every action is broadcast to the world without his knowledge.

The journalist fumed on Twitter: “For a guy who craves privacy, Prince Harry sure is yapping a lot about his private life…”

And he let rip again minutes later, this time focusing on Harry’s criticism of his dad Prince Charles.

  • CHARLES MEETS SCIENTISTS AND CHARITY DONORS AT CANCER RESEARCH CENTRE

The Prince of Wales has visited a cancer research centre to learn how Covid-19 has affected its funding.

Charles is patron of Breast Cancer Now and visited the organisation’s Toby Robins Research Centre in London’s Fulham Road, 21 years after he opened it.

He was greeted by the charity’s chief executive, Baroness Delyth Morgan, before going to a research lab.

The prince heard from Dr Rachel Brough, senior scientific officer at the Institute of Cancer Research, and Dr Alicia Okines, consultant medical oncologist at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, about an innovative trial at the research centre.

The team are looking into a potential treatment for lobular breast cancer, a type of the disease which accounts for up to 15% of all breast cancer cases.

  • ROYAL EXPERT CLAIMS HARRY ‘TRAPPED’ BY MEGHAN

Prince Harry thinks he has found freedom – but is increasingly trapped by Meghan Markle, a royal expert has claimed.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams says it’s “obvious” the Duke of Sussex no longer makes up his own mind, with the Duchess now making it up for him.

“He claims he’s found freedom,” Mr Fitzwilliams told The Sun Online.

“In reality he seems to be increasingly trapped, but it is clear he doesn’t realise it yet.”

His comments come after Harry spoke candidly with host Dax Shephard on the Armchair Expert podcast yesterday, telling of his bid for privacy and the “many times” he has tried to walk down the street “incognito”.

  • OMID SCOBIE WEIGHS IN ON PODCAST DRAMA

  • NOT QUEEN’S ENGLISH

Prince Harry has started using American slang but says he is not a fan of the US Bill of Rights’ protection of freedom of speech and press calling it “bonkers”.

The Duke described the trauma experienced from seeing a road accident on the “highway”.

He told the podcast: “You notice I didn’t say motorway, I really am becoming American.”

But the prince could find himself less welcomed by his hosts after having his say about the US Constitution and Bill of Rights.

The First Amendment protects freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

But Prince Harry, an anti-press campaigner, said: “I have so much I want to say about the First Amendment. I still don’t understand it but it is bonkers.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and a host of famous faces have urged the nation to “keep talking” to support everyone’s mental health in a special radio broadcast.

  • SOMETHING IN THE HEIR

Prince Harry feels spiritually at home in California, his media pal Bryony Gordon has claimed.

The journalist and author, 40, said The Duke of Sussex has been “set free” in many ways and doesn’t have to “live by the expectations of others” in the US.

Bryony is an award-winning mental health advocate, who Harry, 36, chose to speak to for his first interview about his mental health struggles on her Mad World podcast in 2017.

Writing in The Telegraph, she said the duke, who is currently living in a $14million mansion in Montecito, has found a “sense of purpose” with his new life in the States.

She said: “The anger of the past has gone, and it has been replaced with a sense of purpose.

“California is not just Harry’s physical home for now – it is also his spiritual one, where nobody thinks anything of openly discussing their struggles.”

  • STAR STUDDED

Prince Harry will chat to Lady Gaga and actress Glenn Close for his new mental health series with Oprah Winfrey.

‘The Me You Can’t See’ will finally launch on May 21 on Apple TV+ after being delayed due to a combination of Megxit and Covid restrictions.

The Duke of Sussex, who co-produced the series with Oprah, today said: “we’re all human” while speaking of “unresolved traumas” ahead of its launch.

He said he hopes his latest project shows “there is power in vulnerability”.

  • ‘HOPES DIANA’S MEMORY CAN REPAIR HARRY AND WILLIAM’S RELATIONSHIP’

The Sun reported this month that Harry, 36, and William, 39, will give separate speeches when their mum’s statue is unveiled — highlighting their ongoing rift.

The brothers will stand together when the Diana memorial is revealed in July.

A source said: “They will both move heaven and earth to be there. They commissioned the statue together. It is very important for them.

“There is, of course, hope the memory of Diana can repair their relationship but that seems a long way off right now.

  • ROYAL BIOGRAPHER ACCUSES HARRY OF ‘PUNISHING’ HIS FAMILY

A royal biographer has accused Prince Harry of deliberately “punishing” his family for “wronging him and Meghan Markle”.

Angela Levin – who spent a year with the Duke, 36, while writing his biography – says he’s “not an idiot”, but has been “brainwashed as a victim”.

Harry blasted dad Charles’s parenting and said he moved to California to “break the cycle” of pain for his wife and their kids.

Now author Levin has described his latest outburst aimed at his father Prince Charles as “unpleasant and disloyal,” slamming the 36-year-old as “incredibly rude”.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, she fumed: “I think he knows exactly what he’s doing.

“People keep saying that he’s an idiot but I don’t think he is. I think he knows exactly what he wants to say and he wants to hurt them to punish them because he feels they have wronged him and they have wronged Meghan.”

The Instagram account Miss Royal Reply shared photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official thank you cards which were posted to fans who sent letters of condolences following Prince Philip’s death last month.

For the front of the card, the royal couple – who recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary – chose a photo of the late Duke of Edinburgh with his military medals on full display.

The back of the card reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank you for your kind words following the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.
