San Diego (CNS)-Authorities said Wednesday morning that a pedestrian was killed by a vehicle while crossing a crosswalk in the Roseville/Fleetridge neighborhood.

According to San Diego Police Officer Robert Hems, the victim crossed westbound from the east side of the 1400 Ross Cranes Street block at 8:45 pm on Tuesday when he was knocked down by a car on the southern edge of the crosswalk.

A pedestrian who was not identified by the police died at the scene. Hyms said that the 21-year-old driver of the vehicle involved was not injured.
