The driver side front tire on a dump truck travelling southbound on I-81 failed.
The driver lost control, the truck crossed the median and hit a northbound tractor trailer head on. A northbound pickup was also involved in the accident.
The driver of the tractor trailer was killed. The drivers of the other vehicles had to be flown from the scene for medical care.
