The personal injury law firm of Eberstein & Witherite, LLP is proud to announce a jacket donation event at Cavile Place Apartments in Fort Worth on December 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. that will benefit the youth who live in the complex.
“This is a very special event for us,” stated Amy Witherite, founding partner of Eberstein & Witherite, the law firm of 1-800-Truck-Wreck® and 1-800-Car-Wreck®. “We were introduced to Cavile Place by Carlos Walker, Executive Director of the Historic Stop Six Initiative in Fort Worth this summer when we donated backpacks and school supplies to the residents. We want to continue to help the initiative, and will donate more than 230 jackets during this holiday celebration.”
Cavile Place is a 300-unit public housing complex in the Historic Stop Six neighborhood of Fort Worth. It was built in 1954 and named after J.A. Cavile, an African-American educator. In 2014 the City Council approved a massive urban renewal project for the complex that includes rebuilding 225 units, adding a garden and meeting place, and spending money on education and job training.
The renewal plan fits into the philosophy underlying the Historic Stop Six Initiative, which focuses on creating an educational foundation for children, strengthening families and rebuilding communities.
“The Historic Stop Six Initiative is delighted to have Eberstein & Witherite as a partner,” stated Carlos Walker. “The 1-800-Car-Wreck Lawyers have been a blessing to the Stop Six community for the last five years, providing over 1,500 backpacks to our students, $15,000 in scholarships, $3,000 by sponsoring our staff appreciation luncheons, providing over 200 turkeys to families, as well as providing jackets this winter to over 230 of our children who live in Cavile Place. Amy Witherite is more than a partner in the community; she is my personal friend and member of the Stop Six Family.
