U.S. – Police say that a man suspected of going on a car stealing spree in Texas began in Irving. CBSDFW.com reported that 44-year-old Demetrecia Leamon Johnson, 44, first stole a car in Irving that he subsequently crashed in Lamar County.

 

According to police, the Houston man led them on a chase, which culminated in a crash in Delta County. He then reportedly stole the vehicle of a person who stopped to help. He crashed again south of Commerce in Hunt County at the intersection of Highway 24 and County Road 4112.

 

Johnson stole another vehicle before another chase ensued with Commerce police. He crashed the third vehicle as well and was finally apprehended by police.

 

Johnson had at the time of the report been booked into Hunt County jail after being charged with seven offenses. The suspect has had 16 alias and multiple prior convictions, according to police.
