New York – An SUV plowed into a New York fast food restaurant killing a 7-year-old boy. According to an AP report, the driver of the vehicle Driver Kwasi Oduro, 73, has been arraigned on charges of leaving the scene of the accident, which occurred in the Bronx. The sister of the young boy was also injured in the crash.

The incident took place at a fried chicken restaurant around 5:30 in the evening on June 4. According to a court complaint, Oduro drove his Mercedes SUV into the restaurant in reverse shattering its windows and hitting the family.

Restaurant owner Shah Mohammad stated to WCBS-TV of the scene, “It was a horrible moment, and I'll remember it forever.”

Oduro reportedly drove off from the scene, but was pulled over by a traffic agent a couple blocks away.

The aunt of the boy killed told WCBS-TV, “He was everything to us… Everywhere he would go, he would make us laugh. He was the sun of our family. What are we going to do without him?”
