Beijing – Some are speculating about the circumstances of a recent crash involving a Lamborghini and Ferrari. One person was reportedly injured in the accident that occurred in Beijing a reported two hours prior to the seventh installment of the “Fast and Furious” film franchise having a record breaking release at midnight in China on Saturday. Police in China detained the drivers of both vehicles after the crash. A 20-year-old surnamed Yu from Changchun was reportedly operating the Ferrari and a 21-year-old man surnamed Tang was stated to be the driver of the Lamborghini. Police say that both men were “unemployed.” Some reports have said that residents had complained prior about cars racing in a tunnel close to Beijing's emblematic Bird's Nest stadium. Several netizen commenters posted online remarks referencing China’s authoritarian system of Communist rule following the incident. One poster stated, “Socialism is so good that it allows unemployed people to drive supercars.” Another commenter wrote, “What are their names? Who are their fathers?” According to an AP report, police say the accident occurred during heavy rain. Justice News Flash delivers the latest in World Legal News.
