Washington – The family of Casey Kasem has released his medical records after his widow filed a lawsuit requesting them. As reported by WebProNews, Jean Kasem sued St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor where her husband passed away following a battle with dementia.

Jean Kasem and the daughter of Casey Kasem became engaged in a custody battle, resulting in Kerri Kasem winning control over the care of her father.

Kerri, Mike and Julie Kasem are quoted as issuing a statement through their attorney Troy Martin regarding the release of the records saying, “The Kasem children are happy to provide Mrs. Kasem with all such records in their possession… These records indisputably show that Mr. Kasem was extremely ill when admitted to St. Anthony’s hospital on June 1, 2014.”

Casey Kasem, who was 82 at the time of his death, was buried in a cemetery in Norway on December 16, as requested by his widow.
