Mississippi – A Mississippi mother is claiming her young daughter was badly beaten by another student at school. As reported by WebProNews, the mother of AvaLynn started a page on Facebook, Justice for AvaLynn, showing her daughter’s injuries, which the school purports were caused by a fall on the playground.

The school is quoted as releasing the statement, “A student was injured while playing on the playground at Arlington Elementary School Tuesday afternoon. School officials responded to the situation…The parent was contacted and the student received medical treatment. No other children were involved in the incident. The Pascagoula School District remains committed to the safety of all its students.”

AvaLynn’s mother is quoted as stating of the matter on the Facebook page, “As much as my heart is broken for my daughter, I am also amazed by the outpouring of love and support from our family, friends, Oasis church family and our community.”

Police have stated that nothing criminal appears to have taken place; however, an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
