Albuquerque Attorney Ron Bell has seen recent court rulings in New Jersey and Texas that states that texting a person you know to be driving can make the texting party legally liable for a crash if they are on the other end of the phone at the time of your accident. The judges maintain that texting is akin to creating a distraction to the driver and that can cause an accuident.
