Harrisburg, Pa. – Seven men have reached a settlement with Penn State over claims of abuse by former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Sandusky’s adopted son, Matt Sandusky was one of the seven to have finalized deals, which purportedly were completed a week ago prior to being memorialized recently.

Sandusky, 69, is currently incarcerated after being convicted of 45 counts of child sexual abuse.

An attorney for the young men, Matt Casey, is quoted by the AP as stating following the settlement, “To say they’re relieved, I think, is a fair statement…But it’s also accurate to say that while we’ve closed this chapter, there’s a whole lot of this that’s necessarily inadequate.”

The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
