Los Angeles – Some musicians who have been rumored to be joining in a boycott against Florida are denying the reports. As reported by Variety, representatives for Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, and Madonna say the stars are not joining in a boycott against performing in the state of Florida, which was initiated by Stevie Wonder after George Zimmerman was acquitted in the murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

A list that surfaced on a music blog claimed Wonder, 63, had enlisted other celebrities to join in his boycott of the state until changes were made to its Stand Your Ground Law. The report was then circulated by other media outlets.

One rep is quoted by Variety as stating of the list, “I don’t know where this list came from.”
