Myanmar – Two people were killed in a plane crash in central Myanmar on Tuesday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a plane carrying 78 passengers including 48 foreign passengers, were aboard the Air Bagan flight when it crash landed on a road.

Different accounts of what may have caused the accident have been provided by authorities. State television is quoted by the AP as stating, “While descending, the plane mistakenly landed … due to fog beside the runway…The rear end of the plane broke and caught fire.”

In addition to the two deaths, eleven passengers were also reportedly injured.

The circumstances of the accident are still under investigation.
