Newtown, Connecticut – Two adults who survived after being shot during the recent school shooting in Connecticut will reportedly be key witnesses in the investigation. As reported by Good Morning America, police stated Monday that the survivors, both women and who are now out of the hospital, will be integral to the investigation into what occurred at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown last week.

Connecticut State Police Lt. Paul Vance is quoted in the report as stating in a news conference on Monday, “Investigators will, in fact, speak with them when it’s medically appropriate and they will shed a great deal of light on the facts and circumstances of this tragic investigation.”

Adam Lanza, 20, opened fire at the school on Friday, killing 20 children and six adults prior to shooting and killing himself.
