Two motorcycle riders were clinging to life August 17, 2012, after a suspected drunk driver smashed into them early Friday morning in Richmond Hill, Queens, reports New York City motorcycle accident lawyer Jonathan C. Reiter.

According to information provided, Mohan Omesh, 29, was driving a Cadillac Escalade heading west on Atlantic Avenue near 124th Street at about 4:10 am, when he struck the motorcycle carrying both men. The Cadillac reportedly ran a red light. The crash was so brutal that police did not spot the bike’s passenger for 20 minutes after the crash sent him hurtling into the Cadillac’s back seat. One stunned witness explained, “The cops didn’t even know he was there at first.”

The bike’s driver, 23-year-old Corney McIntosh and passenger, 25-year-old Naquawn McIntosh, were both taken to Jamaica Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police reported they were listed in critical condition, explains Mr. Reiter.

Omesh faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without insurance. He suffered minor injuries, and he was not hospitalized.
