Indianapolis, IN — A construction accident at an Indianapolis International Airport hanger sent two construction workers to the hospital, after they fell nearly 16 feet on Monday, November 28, 2011, reported WISH.

Officials reported that the two men, who are employed by Harmon Steel, were erecting steel in the office area of the building, when they suddenly fell about 16 feet.

Reports indicated that the workers’ safety harness broke their fall.

Responding emergency crews rushed the two men to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their identities are being withheld at this time.

It is unknown what caused the construction accident at this time, but investigations are underway.

Investigators with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be arriving at the scene to conduct a full investigation into the accident.

The workers were reportedly working on an expansion project at the airport, which includes the construction of a new hanger.
