San Marcos, TX — An industrial accident at the new Thermon Manufacturing Co. building in Central Texas has killed one worker and seriously injured another on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, reported Forbes.com

According to police, a pre-engineered metal building frame collapsed for unknown reasons.

One worker was killed in the industrial accident, while the surviving worker sustained non-life threatening injuries. The surviving worker was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of their serious injuries.

The identities of the deceased and injured worker are being withheld at this time.

The building where the fatal industrial accident took place is reportedly a new manufacturing facility for Thermon, who makes heat tracing products for the energy industry.

Bailey-Elliot Construction Inc. of Austin is reportedly the contractor at the construction site.

The fatal industrial accident is under investigation. Officials with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are expected to arrive at the site to conduct its own investigation into the deadly workplace accident.
