Quinton, OK — A rear-end collision involving a horse-drawn carriage and a tractor-trailer killed four of the five passengers of the carriage in Pittsburgh County. The fatal tractor-trailer crash occurred late Wednesday night, July 27, 2011, at around 10:30 p.m. on Highway 31, reported KOCO.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the carriage was traveling down the middle of the highway when a tractor-trailer approached from behind and rear-ended the carriage.

The impact of the collision ejected the five people inside of the carriage, killing four of the victims.

The driver of the carriage, Paul Ogden, 38; Emma Ogden, 4; McKennen Ogden, 5; and Lee Ogden, 28, all were pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency crews.

Colby Finch, 18, was airlifted to St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa for treatment of his injuries. Finch is reportedly listed in critical condition.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, who remains unidentified, was uninjured in the wreck.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal tractor-trailer crash.
