San Marcos, CA — The autopsy of a 14-year-old girl, who died after she collapsed at an 8th grade dance, has come back inconclusive. Sabrina Keller died Thursday night, June 9, 2011, when she collapsed at Woodland Park School in San Marcos, reported New York Daily News and Fox 5 San Diego.

Sabrina Keller, 14, was celebrating the end of the 8th grade among her 250 classmates, when she walked off the dance floor and fell to the ground.

“She was dancing and then she sat down and then from a chair just collapsed, just kind of folded over onto the floor,” Principal David Cochrane told San Diego’s 10News.

A parent chaperone, who happened to be a nurse, began administering CPR before emergency crews arrived at the school.

Responding emergency crews airlifted her to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, where doctors pronounced her dead at 10:10 p.m.

According to Cochrane and a family friend, Keller did not have any pre-existing medical conditions. An autopsy performed on Friday also proved inconclusive.

The cause of death was pending additional toxicology and other tests that could take up to 90 days, according the Medical Examiner’s website.

Investigations are underway.
