SUV Slams into Chicago Loop Dunkin’ Donuts; 2 Injured

Chicago, IL — A vehicle slammed into a Dunkin Donuts in the Loop, following a two-vehicle crash involving a taxi and a SUV Tuesday morning, May 3, 2011. The automobile accident occurred near the intersection of South Wells and West Adams streets at 5:44 a.m., reported My Fox Chicago.

The impact of the collision caused the SUV to slam into the front entrance of a Dunkin’ Donuts, located at 211 W. Adams St., where it became stuck.

The driver of the SUV and taxi were rushed by responding emergency crews to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. They are reportedly in fair condition.

One Dunkin’ Donuts employee was inside of the store, which was open at the time. The employee was not injured in the accident.

Central District officers are investigating the crash. No citations or charges have been issued at this time.
