Chicago, IL — Two people were killed and eight others were injured in a crash involving a drunk driver. The fatal automobile accident occurred in the 1200 block of South Kostner Avenue Saturday at about 3 a.m., reported the Chicago Tribune.

According to Chicago police, Kimberly Bradley, 39, was driving a 2003 Mazda SUV north on Kostner, when the SUV swerved into an oncoming lane of traffic and hit a 1995 Ford Probe. The collision caused the SUV to flip and eject several occupants who weren’t wearing seatbelts.

Responding emergency crews pronounced one person dead at the scene. Another victim was rushed to the hospital where they too were pronounced dead.

Two other SUV occupants were rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The six other injured victims suffered injuries ranging minor to critical.
