New York, NY — About 330 fixed-side cribs have been voluntarily recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and ducduc LLC for fall and entrapment hazards. The CPSC announced the product recall on April 26, 2011.

The product recall was issued after it was brought to attention that the bottom rails on the crib sides can separate from the sides when the mattress is in the lowest position, which causes the spindles to separate and the mattress to drop. Fall and entrapment hazards are posed as a result.

“This recall includes ducduc fixed-side cribs with the model names and item codes ending in 2009, 2010 and 2011 listed below. The name ‘ducduc’ and the item code can be found on a label located on the mattress panel,” reported the CPSC press release. The list of item codes can be found at: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml11/11737.html.

Consumers are advised to contact ducduc if the company itself hasn’t already contacted you for a free repair kit.

For more information concerning the product recall, consumers can contact ducduc at (212) 226-1868 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET, or visit their website at www.ducducnyc.com.
